Hi, I’m Bryony.

 

I offer piano lessons and theory lessons to all ages and all abilities in Frome, from young children to older adults, from complete beginners to post Grade 8 level.

 

Every person’s musical journey is unique and I guide you and your preferences with awareness and sensitivity. I find a balance between following your interests and introducing you to new musical ideas. My nature is calm, friendly and patient. I bring a sense of fun and enjoyment to the learning process and a depth of quality to my teaching that will help you or your child learn to the level that you wish to.

I have been teaching piano for 20 years and a piano player myself for over 30 years. I studied with some great teachers Yonty Solomon and Penelope Roskell (author of The Complete Pianist) at Trinity College of Music in London (now Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance) where I did my Performance Degree in Music. I also trained as a Primary School Teacher which I did for some years working with age 5 up to age 11 and later teaching music in primary schools. 

 

I offer the option to take you through exams using the ABRSM or Trinity exam boards. I have a 100% pass rate with 85% achieving a merit or higher. 

 

I place high importance on quality music lessons, teaching excellent technique right from the first lesson. Whilst I am classically trained, I love to teach many styles of music including jazz and pop. 

 

Lessons are available in person and online.
